Scriptaculous Drag n Drop Cart

Well perhaps I was bit premature when I said ‘easy enough’. I’ll get
the basic cart setup first then go from there [rolling eyes]. I found
an article about doing the drag n drop thing with php which was
interesting from what I could pick up. Is there any benefit or reason
to consider using php over the scriptaculous library?

You need both.

PHP, because you have to persist the choices somewhere in order to
place the order. If you keep everything in the user’s page, you can’t
do that without putting a lot of risk into the equation.

Scriptaculous, because you need that in order to actually do the drag-
n-drop part of this thing.

The best way I can think of to get this going is to first write a
bare-bones form page that actually places an order. Then, jack it up
and start “pimping your ride” with Ajax.
