ScriptyAccordian and RPL Action?

Hello

In certain situations the ScriptyAccordian Action and the Relative Page Layout Action don’t work together…

I have some ‘hidden’ text, which in FW has pushed the parent HTML box, over the top of another, separate, item. When previewed this overlap throws the RPL Action and the layout breaks. See http:www.advocatedesign.co.uk/trial

The layout has broken and I am not able to click the trigger (“Testimony”) to reveal the hidden text.

There is a link from this page to another page that works fine, because there is no overlap happening.

I know I should be constructing pages using the box model, but after invested so much energy into my site, I don’t have any energy left. So, how can I get both actions to work?

Thanks

Could you post a link to the problem page? Your accordion object must be set to undefined height (click on the icon left of the height field in the Inspector to disable the height). This allows the accordion element to expand and contract. I don’t know if this is enough to signal to the RPL Action that the element should be allowed to grow, but it certainly does so on a normal Freeway page. If that doesn’t do it, also try applying the Remove from RPL Action to the Accordion and see if that fixes things.

Hi Walter

Link was in original post: http:www.advocatedesign.co.uk/trial

Try clicking on “Testimony”.

I can confirm the parent item and the inserted item have undefined heights.

Because the parent item, in FW, is long (because the hidden text is shown), it overlaps my footer. And the RPL Action can’t cope with this. The RPL Action isn’t taking into account that the item has the Accordian Action applied to it, and that the item isn’t actual that long.

Cheers

Mark
