ScriptyFader a few questions

Hi Walt,

I’ve been experimenting with your ScriptyFader very nice to work with.

However I have a couple of questions.

It seems on first load it has to load the pic fresh unless they’re already
in the cache, which means they “paint” down instead of fading in, presumably
they are not loaded as the page does?

And secondly for the life of me I cannot get the panes to appear in the
order I wish, I have tried reordering them in the “Site” palette [yes I know
bottom means top!] and AFAICT it makes no difference. What I think happens
is the order follows the order you created them?

Many thanks for all the work you’ve put into this and other Actions which
make the lives of non-coders easier and more rewarding.

Best wishes Peter

Are these particularly large files? The Action loads the first option
without any fading effect, but it loads that first option at the same
instant that the rest of the page is loaded – you shouldn’t see any
difference between that option loading and the same image or HTML
being a part of the page source ordinarily.

Now that I think about it, I suspect you may be right. I will have to
take another look at the code, or possibly just update the
documentation. You can remove the ScriptyFader Option Action from all
of the options, and re-apply it in the order you desire. In all cases,
I believe that the initial ScriptyFader should run first.

Many thanks for all the work you’ve put into this and other Actions

You are welcome, glad to help.

Walter
