Scrolling Layer of text & Ticker tape problem in Freeway 5

I have both the scrollerpro and scrollerpro_db folders in the root

Now on my server I have the scrollerpro_db in root ie the same level as my public_html folder while scrollerpro is within public_html (with my webpages)

The root directory is the directory on Unix-like operating systems that contains all other directories and files on the system and which is designated by a forward slash ( / ).

Hi Davis,
Is “public_html” not the root in my case as this is where all the site files reside?

No

The root directory is the directory on Unix-like operating systems that contains all other directories and files on the system and which is designated by a forward slash ( / ).

So the root directory contains your public_html folder, mail and public_ftp folders amongst others

Your web pages are within your public_html folder which is where the scrollerpro folder should be while the scrollerpro_db folder should be at the same level as the public_html folder (not in it) ie in root

I see. That could be a problem as the client insists on me using his server and is currently only giving me ftp access to the public_html folder. I’ll try it out on one of my servers and see if I can get it working before I request access to the level above the public_html.

Thanks for your help David. I’ll keep you posted if I get it working.
