I happen to own a copy of Sparkle (I won it in a giveaway), but I can’t say that I’ve ever used it in a “real” website.
One of my issues with it is that it doesn’t create true “responsive” websites. Instead, the website will scale to fit in the mobile browser’s viewport, with breakpoints so you can keep the scaling from getting too extreme. Basically, a lot like creating a “responsive” website in Freeway 7 without using %-widths.
Sparkle is in no way a replacement for Freeway, and I don’t think it will ever be. My impression is that it’s simply a modern iWeb replacement — simple, slick, easy, but very restrictive.
