Seagate SSHD

Anyone using a Seagate SSHD in a MBP (specifically an Early 2011 13”)? If so, what model? I’m looking to replace the stock 320GB HDD with SSHD. I realize a SSD is much faster but it’s not in the budget (unless someone wants to buy one for me as a late Christmas present. I have been a very good boy).

Glad you’ve been behaving yourself ;~}}

I recently put an SSD into my MBP [early 2011 i7 8GB] it replaced a
Seagate 750Gb Hybrid drive, which when I replaced the old HDD it did
make a difference, but it was actually only modest. One warning though
it does have a battery “hit” because it’s a faster 7200RPM and not 5400
RPM drive.

Model: Momentus XT 750 which I use in a “toaster” for backups.

Sorry, clean out of silicon tokens to help with SSDs … nearly Happy
New Year … so all the best Peter.

I think the Seagate SSHD I was looking at is a 2.5” 5400 rpm, but I would have to verify. I recall reading about poor battery life too.

Thank you.

Todd
