Send To Back problem

I built a four page website. I have set a browser background color. Now I am trying to underlay a page color. I created an html box the size of the page in a certain color and I “sent to back”. However it won’t go behind certain elements of the design - except on the main page of the site where it works fine. Even when I try to manually bring other elements forward, it won’t work. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

Just out of curiosity have you set thing up in layers?

And post a link so that we can see the underlying code - otherwise we are running blind.

Pressing the CSS button did the trick. Thanks for the help.

Pressing the CSS button either turns the mode to CSS Layout (layers) or Table Layout.

It does not change the state of items already created - only determines what future items will be when they are created.

So if you have started your layout with the CSS button in Table Layout mode (unlayered) then everything you have created up to that point will NOT be layered and you will need to select each item and change it to Layered in the inspector. (If you want them layered)

As you have seen you can have a mix of elements.
