I am creating a few multilingual sites and am having some trouble getting all those languages to have good Google results.
My current site structure is as follows:
Site Folder > index.html (English)
And then all the English pages live at this same level as their index page.
Site Folder > ca > index.html (Catalan)
And then all the Catalan pages live at this same level.
Site Folder > es > index.html (Spanish)
And then all the Spanish pages live at this same level.
So as you can see, my English pages live at the top level, and all other languages, including their respective index pages, live in their own folders, in “level 2” as it were.
Google doesn’t seem to like this. My results for the English pages are great, but the other languages are nowhere to be seen. I’m using the Site Mapper action, but alas, no luck.
I’ve used keywords and descriptions in the corresponding languages for each index page, and have included descriptive page titles and html text as well.
Any ideas on how to improve my SEO for languages 2 and 3? Thanks!
