Am I correct that the FW provided html fonts are the only ones I can safely use to create sharp and crisp html text?
I have the Sansumi font as graphic text on my website and all headers in Helvetica. What I don’t like is the bit blurry appearance of graphic text when I use them. Can I somehow improve the quality? e.g. change the box to gif or png.
When I want to use another font as html, what are the steps to take? webfonts? How? Or can I make a new html-font-set?
Then this: how are these crisp and sharp in this nice website created? ; http://www.mixd.co.uk.
The alternative is WebFont-Action by Tim (which I use regularly). It requires at least a .ttf file which then can be converted to .eot. Both file types I recognized as to be enough for a wide range of (up-to-date) browsers.
The page example is basically a WordPress.
For the FONTs they use Adobe’s Typekit service ( https://typekit.com/ ). It’s cool but honestly unaffordable for me or my client-structure.
If you don’t mind about “original” Font-faces, you can even have a look at google fonts (which I like very much). Seek for an as similar as possible Font, download and install it (to get the preview chance in Freeway, create a new Font-style and add a lil chunk of code (given by google).
The google-way is very similar to the WebFont Action.
Also, if you use Monotype’s SkyFonts app - which is free I believe - you
can download system versions of Google fonts so apps like Freeway Pro can
display those fonts in the workspace as well as in the browser

Tried Caxton. Followed every step but it is not working. Freeway did upload a woff and svg file with the webfont, but it was not displayed in a browser. Of course it did on the macbook i’m using, but thats because the font is installed there. On my ipad it was certainly not displayed.
Kept on trying! never give up. Well… I got it right! This is a lot better for my site. I will change some text; Ik schrijf & ontwerp, which now is graphic to a webfont.
Please take a look and feel free to comment.
