Showtime - fixed height ability?

In Exhibeo Version 1.1.2, if I drop in different size images the resultant gallery resizes in height with each different height image in a responsive design website (at least for me).

I was wondering if there is a way to get it to remain a fixed height - short of not having to edit all the images into compliance?

Containers used are nested as follows -

BODYWRAPPER
align - center…
width - fixed %…
height - flexible

BODY
align - center…
width - fixed %…
height - flexible

EXHIBEOWRAPPER
align - center…
width - fixed %…
height - fixed

EXHIBEOACTIONITEM
align - baseline…
width - fixed %…
height - fixed

If you do not want the slideshow jumping in size on playback, then I’m
afraid you must edit all the images to the same aspect ratio.

This is most easily done in a app like Photoshop, using layers, revealing
and exporting one image at a time to get them all.

Thanks Ernie - it’s what I suspected.

Another approach (for readers) is to open all the images one wants to use for the gallery in Photoshop and use group processing - file/scripts/image processor/use open images/resize to fit (fixed height in pixels) - and save to a destination folder for use in Exhibeo. This automates it and will do them all at once.

The downside is of course every time you want to change your image lineup you have to adjust new ones to fit. Not quite the drag and drop we love in Exhibeo.

Update - I quickly found out my standard gallery resizing approach didn’t work.

Exhibeo/Showtime doesn’t care what pixel height the image is - it has to be the exact same •aspect ratio• - as you mentioned Ernie. This can only be done one at a time. :frowning:

Of course, there are other Exhibeo presentations which function better for
images of various aspect or orientation. The Slideshow works with these as
well, it is we who have a preference for the presentation… more like a
window through our design than a parade of images tramping across it.

The master painters used what we would call today “basic and common”
materials - which they made by hand and recipe. Today we are used to
getting them from a shop… pre-made in a tube.

Exhibeo is, after all, a basic tool - still, I think of our little bit of
thoughtful preparation in using it as justifying of our creative existence
