Site Folder with External Sources

Hi,

If I have external javascript libraries that I am using within my FW app as well as images and CSS style sheets, am I able to place these js libraries and images inside a user defined directory within the Site Folder or does this information need to be placed somewhere within the Site Folder directory structure for it to work correctly?

Thanks.
T.

If you use the external javascript action, it will build the link to the script and upload it as well.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me but just have one query. With using the external javascript action, is there anyway of ordering the attached js libraries, so that any libraries attached are actually placed above the code that is also entered within the Page->HTML Markup where I have selected “before ” in both sections?

Thanks.

Try it and see. I can’t recall where in the publish order the action fires. If it doesn’t work, post back – it’s really simple to fix the Action with a text editor.

Hi Walter,

Tried it and it didn’t work - it actually placed everything from the external javascript action at the bottom of all what I had within the Page->HTML Markup.

I would please if possible the other way around so that external js action is always above HTML MArkup code.

Thanks.

Sorry, but could someone help with regards to modifying this action as Walter above has suggested.

Thanks.

I’ve posted the modified version here:

…and also sent it back to Oxford to be updated in the KnowledgeBase.
