Site Map code insert.

I downloaded the ‘AutomaticSiteMapClient.php’ and ‘google56bcef99cd22…html’ to be inserted into my site to create a site map but I don’t know where to put it in order to have a site map on my Freeway site.

Thanks, Carolyn

Is this meant to create a Google Site Map in their XML format? Do you
have a link to the site where you downloaded this code?

This is the site, yes it’s for a Google site map for my sites.

Okay. I don’t see anything public that explains what you need to do, did they send you any instructions along with these two files? It may be as simple as something you upload to your Web root with an FTP application, it certainly seems that way from the overheated sales copy.

Yes, Walt, I’ve gone in and combed the site and cannot find where they told me to download these two programs via FTP into my site, they live on my desktop just now. I think they told me to do that when I signed up and now I have a dashboard that comes up.

Can I upload these somehow via my Freeway FTP? If so where would I insert them in my site to upload? Sorry if I sound a bit dim! Feeling a bit dim.

You could, although there’s really not much point. Either the Upload
Stuff or Extra Resources Action can upload files into the root folder.
But the only reason to use those tools is for things that will change
over time. Otherwise, use Transmit or CyberDuck or another FTP
application (even your hosting provider’s control panel in a pinch) to
upload the files into the same folder as your index.html file. Once
they’re there, you won’t need to touch them again.
