Site open for viewing at alpha stage

The site I have been working on for some time is now at an alpha stage. It’s at
http://www.kirkhouse.me.uk/newTest/ the old site is at www.kirkhouse.co.uk

The entry page and the range page are not yet updated, but act as a
way in to the product pages.

I know about the missing ‘webbanner12312’ and that Home, About,
Contact and Login are inactive. I’ve removed the shopping basket for
this alpha version.

Pricing on the Product pages should work and be consistent for a
product and its options. Some prices may not be financially correct
because the database is still being worked on.

Chairs and tables should have all product options working. Upholstery
(as a product) and the storage items are not yet started.

I would be interested in comments and problems. I would particularly
like to know if it works with recent versions of IE. I don’t
understand why yet, but I get php errors when the browser is IE
running on XP Pro which I have running under emulation.

That’s a lot of shop options. A couple of things I noticed:

The category list at top of footer of some pages is center aligned vertically but left aligned horizontally. I feel like I want to see it all left or all centered.

Personally, the cart area seems like it’s un-cohesive in terms of qty/choices being separated, and think that’s mostly because the background is all white.

Oops, just noticed an error message embedded in this page http://www.kirkhouse.me.uk/newTest/product.php?range=Fastfood&code=TL0014CT001

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /content/HostingPlus/k/i/kirkhouse.me.uk/web/newTest/dataPane.php on line 693

That’s why it has to be hand built inserts rather than a general purpose CMS.

I’ve now fixed the ‘range’ pages so they’re center aligned like on
the ‘product’ pages, if that’s what you meant. Not sure what you mean
by ‘aligned vertically’.

There’s only ever one Quantity field. Do you think it would look
better above the other choices? Or where? It was meant to look like
an invoice, but that’s just because as a s/w engineer at heart I need
something to hang my layout on.

I thought I’d got rid of these, but I now know there’s another type
of problem. Back to the php Š
