I am having problems creating a slave image in FW Pro 4, maybe i’m doing something wrong or the way that I am doing it is wrong? here goes:
I have an image on my page and then a HTML text box underneath with numbers 1, 2 and 3. What I want to achieve is, I want the image to change when you roll over or click on one of the numbers - so basically I can display 3 different images. I thought about using the slave image feature but I don’t know how to get the HTML text to act as my rollover.
Is there another way or am I doing something wrong here?
not sure I followed that correctly. I drew a HTML text box, clicked inside the box and then insert > action item > rollover. There was no option for Rollover in that menu, the nearest was ‘text rollover’ is that what you meant?
okay what it did was place a huge space in between my text. i don’t understand what’s happening here, if I look at the Actions palette there are no options to configure the rollover. If i use the slave image action now will it recognise the numbers as a rollover trigger
Use Insert>Text Rollover when you have the cursor flashing in a run of text.
The action will be inserted as an action item/box - then in the Action inspector you enter the text that will be the rollover - in your case 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. One action for each number. (Don’t forget to assign the correct Target Group and mouseover number to suit your Target show/hide images)
The action item/boxes can be spaced apart by inserting non-breaking spaces between them.
