Slideshow Pro & FWPro5

What’s the latest status on using SlideshoPro with a FWPro 5 layout? I am looking to purchase the app and the director, but want to be sure I can use it. Any basic instructions someone can share on how to insert it on a page? Is a HTML Markup used or maybe an iFrame?

Slideshow Pro works great in FWPro 5. I have both Director, the Flash component, and the Lightroom plugin, and it’s real easy to drop it into Freeway.

When you publish the Flash document it outputs a SWF file. Simply draw an HTML item into your layout and then select the HTML item (if not selected after dragging) and goto “File” and then “Import.” Select then the SWF file and then select “Fit Box To Content” to size it up. I’d also recommend getting the “Upload Stuff” action as you’ll have to attach a separate XML document that lists your images, captions, and titles.

Post any questions here if need be.

Also, Todd’s launched the SSP Wiki. A good thing to review for new user’s of the component who may not necessarily be new to Flash.

and a tutorial is already written for Freeway users that works the same way from 4 to 5.1:

Hope that helps.

Thanks! I succesfully got the Flash plugin and the Director and it is amazing!! I love the fact that I can edit the content on the fly! What a time saver. I read some info on the XML file, but as far as I can tell, I dont have to mess with that - it can all be done in the Director.

As for the FW side of it, I just did a drag/drop of the SWF file into the HTML box (it was already set with the same dimensions as the SWF) and it uploaded - works PERFECT. I am so thrilled!!!
