Softpress site

Why is the Softpress site using tables?
Taken from the site: Freeway 5 Pro can be used to create CSS (table-less) page layouts using absolute positioning, and exposes the real power of CSS through relative positioning, percentage scaling of all elements, partial styles, and more, and all with the legendary Freeway WYSIWYG design view. And they are not using it themwelves???

As Keith said, its a fine balancing act how the site is perceived, dictated by the person looking at it.

If I was writing a brief to re-design the site, top of this list would be:

  1. Distinct Freeway Branding; I’ve seen the site with stronger branding.

  2. Freeway being a tool, a conduit to other peoples work; Therefore a big play of others sites designed by the product. Which I’m glad the home page has this.

  3. Simple, easy on the eye layout and navigation; Everything on the site at the moment seems to shout at a similar intensity - no spacing as a relief)

Yep, another in the regular home page refreshes. I thought all we
had to do was talk long enough and the thing would change, again,
while we weren’t looking.

Much better, but still (forgive me) needs some “fine adjustments” IMHO.

I would still like for FreewayTalk Forum members to share their favorite sites. Anyone out there want to share.

Thanks!

Here are a few well designed and interesting sites (at least through my eyes):

Hi,

Continuing the topic of well designed Freeway sites, I just “stumbled” upon an excellent designer in Norway who uses Freeway with excellent results (some of his sites are done with Freeway Pro 5). Unfortunately, one cannot click on the samples in his portfolio and simply be redirected to the site. I therefore tried (not always successfully) to Google his sites.

Here are a few samples. Whatt do you think? Would anyone like to share their favorite Freeway sites? I would like to see some more sites using EE and Freeway. BTW Softpress can probably featuresome of the sites below on their main page:

http://www.fagerborgfri.no

http://www.vindharpevegen.no

http://www.sundt-arkitekter.no

http://www.moss-snorydding.no

http://www.hceiendom.no

Regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,

The m3 architects page has been up on the front page for a week or two
now. Great aren’t they!
