some hyperlinks not working

Been using Freeway since version 3.0 with few problems. I’m creating a new site and now am having one with something so basic – hyperlinks.

Check this test page:

http://gfbeta.com/media.html

Not all links are supposed to be live right now, but go to the bottom category boxes. In the first two, the blue links are live. In the last three they aren’t, although they are created exactly the same way. I’ve restarted the program. I’ve tried the layout as CSS with layers and without. I cannot see any reason why these links would not be coding.

Help!

Solved this issue. Had to do with the way the icons were layering over the white box. Not sure why, but reloading and replacing the icons solved the problem.

Had a look into the source of it…

Your’re using tables in the page structure,
(and you get a functioning footer , too

Is this a concious choice?

You use extensively graphic text for your site. By doing so you’ve killed search-ability by search engines and indexing robots. Ooh…the future.

I’d think about making some text actual HTML text so you can be picked up in Google. It sure looks good from a color and feature standpoint.

Also real quick in Firefox I get an error on the API key for the “Contact Us” page. It says that this API was registered to another website and that a new one can be generated followed by a web address. I clicked OK and it loaded up the page, but that’s strange that came up.

Just thought I’d give you a heads up.

OmarKN: I have since restructured the final site a bit and am not having those issues anymore.

Dan J: I was using the gfbeta.com as a mirror hosting site – it’s not my real URL. That’s why you got the API key error from Google Maps (which is registered to my real URL).

As far as the text issue goes, I totally get it. But I regularly have serious issues with html boxes and the way they load/cut graphic boxes with black lines, etc. If you’ve got any suggestions there, I’d love to hear them.

To compromise for now, I’ve created several landing pages for the Google crawlers to eat up that are composed almost entirely of text. You can’t link to them; they just feed to my home page. It’s all in testing now so the jury’s out, but I’m hopeful…

Thanks for the feedback.
