I’m trying to use the “spawn new window” action, and I would like the button you push to be an image without text on it, but if I try and do this it won’t let me publish it. Also, when I make a button, (say 100x100 pixels), and have some text in it, the entire button is not active, only the portion of it with the text will open the new window when clicked. Is there any way around these issues?
I think you may be seeing a flashing I-beam cursor inside your graphic
item while you are trying to apply the link. In that case, Freeway
will require a bit of text to wrap the link around, and also in that
case, Freeway will create an image map around the characters of text,
and apply the link to that. What Dave has described is the behavior
when you draw a graphic box, then, while the 8 handles are still
showing at the corners and sides, choose your link target from the
picker at the bottom of the screen or open the Hyperlink dialog and
assign a URL.

I did with some medical movies I have links to using hyperlink. When I put the Hyperlink in I went down the Hypertext window to the pull down Target menu and in the Target field I specified _blank
This works like a charm to open new windows.
