Sticky Headers for Dummies

If you click once on the element that you want to be your header, and in the Inspector, change it to Position: Fixed, that item will stay in the same place in the viewport while everything else scrolls around it. If you make sure that element is moved to the top of the stacking order, it will appear as though the rest of the page is scrolling under it. If you group all the elements together that make up your header before you make this final step, you should get what you’re after.

Greetings All,

I want to do a redesign of the high school website I maintain, specifically adding a sticky header. However, I am a Fine Arts guy and not much of a tech guy. I did a search here on sticky headers and I honestly do not know what anyone is talking about. I am making an appeal to pity a poor public school teacher: can anyone explain to me how to add a sticky header to my site please?

Thanks in advance,
Ruben
