Strange Lightbox Problem...

Hey, i’m very new to Freeway and i’ve been trying to make a simple gallery with lightbox.

I have my Graphic thumbnails arranged in a nice grid within in an HTML box. And I used the Lightbox action to create the popups.

Now what’s strange about this is the thumbnails are only clickable in certain areas on the page. For example, I have a thumbnail that’s near the top left part of the page and I can’t click on it. But if I move it towards the center of the page it’s clickable and the lightbox comes up just fine.

Anybody know what the problem is?

Is it possible that you have a layer over the top of your thumbnails or that some of the graphics are set to combine?

Check in the site pane on the left of your screen in FW (Click the bar to change to Page to see all items on your page) for a layer that is causing problems.

If you have named all your items it is easier to keep track

I figured out what’s causing the problem, it’s my css menus. If I have them, then I’m unable to click on the image to bring up the lightbox. I just removed it and suddenly I can click on it.

Any idea what that problem is? How can I have both in there?

Okay, I figured it out. If I have the css button enabled then everything works fine, I can have my css menus and my lightbox.
Could someone explain what the difference is between css and table layout? As you can see, I’m very new to this.

In one word - Layers

CSS uses layered items (a bit like Photoshop) - you cant fiddle with the layer underneath the one on top unless you select it first.

If you look at your site panel (left of screen in FW) in Page view you see all the items on your page. If they are CSS enabled (layers) then the foremost one is at the bottom.

Clicking on an item on the page and then using the Menu Item>send to back or bring to front will change the stacking order on the page. You can also drag items about in the site panel to do the same. Remember that you can have a mix of CSS and non CSS items on your page.
