How would the server know what you’re interested in within a
particular forum? The difficulty is that the content of a forum/list
is simply messages about whatever, with subjects written however.
There’s no practical way to deal with that.

You may be set to get email from other Freewaytalk lists such as
Dynamo and the Actions list. Check your settings on the site…
