After not using Freeway for some months, I’ve just uploaded Freeway 5.2.1 from an earlier 5.* version and now editing pages is now unusable.
Placing a cursor in to edit text the spinning beach ball of death appears for 15-20 seconds before getting back control. Every time I leave Freeway and come back, the application does not respond for 20 seconds and if I type something in or try to copy the spinning beach ball of death appears for minutes.
I have Leopard 10.5.5, MacBook Pro 2.4 Ghz and 4 Gb RAM. I think this started to happen since upgrading to 5.2.1
Any ideas?

The first thing I would try is to run the Disk Utility and repair permissions. A lot of times when installing new software things in preferences get muddle somewhat.

It has nothing to do with the machine.
The legacy files I have run slowly on other Macs I have (MacBook and Mac Mini). Running an old version of my file on a Powerbook G4 1.67GHz and Freeway 4.0, the spinning beach ball problem does not appear when selecting text.
I vaguely remember reading somewhere that there was a problem with legacy (Freeway Pro 3/4) files in Freeway 5.0, (CSS changes?) but unfortunately I cannot find it anymore!
