Tables

Hi,

I use Freeway to run two sports club websites on which weekly scores are published. The competition organisers send me updated spreadsheets that I convert to csv and then import directly to tables. It saves me no end of typing and if there are errors they’re not mine! I note that X-Way doesn’t yet have tables but can you confirm that future updates will include an import data function to tables similar to Freeway.
Meanwhile keep up the good work - there’s clearly a learning curve to be negotiated on my part but I’m looking at it as an excuse to revisit and rewrite my sites to clear out the bodges and workarounds that have accumulated over the years.
Thanks & regards
Alan Coomber

Hi Alan,

Support for tables is on our list of things to do!

Hi all

I really appreciate the way that everyone is feeling that Xway is a fully functioning piece of kit so soon, but I think that some of you might be missing it…

It (Xway) is a lovely piece of coding, that encapsulates everything we are looking for in the next iteration of FreeWay, but, rather than saying what it has not got (or not doing right), should be actually looking for a ‘suggestions list’, where we can ask for features to be included in later releases?

This will actually let Jeremy concentrate om making the software work, rather than sorting individual ‘glitches’

With best wishes to Jeremy and the team, and everybody that already loves Freeway, for the new year ahead (and I don’t work for Softpress)

Dom
