Text Background

How do I change the background of a text object? eg I have text on a line and want the line to disapear as it goes under the text object.

Currently you have to add a path between the line and the text block. The upcoming version 3.0 will include the ability to set the background color of text.

On my beta version of Intaglio 3, there is no difference between background color and text color : both are working on the text, i.e. background color also !

Hi jacques,
Last beta is… 3.0a7 (so seems like it’s an alpha).
Background Color setting is located in the Text pane (below Kern… Leading). Is it the one you used?

Yes, I have the 3.0 a7
Yes,I have tried the Text panel with :

Crénage –––<>–––
Ligne de base –––<>–––
Hauteur de ligne –––<>–––
Background color [ ]
Largeur de bloc [ ]

my setting is Background color [ v ]
with the color beeing selected in the color wheel : I get a colored
text on a white background
