Text Link Styles

Is there a way to set global text link styles? instead of applying them to every html item where you want them?

Every new Freeway document has a default set of taps, including a p tag. Unless otherwise specified all text elements applied to a page will automatically get this style. I believe the default font is Times Roman.

You can set up as many p tags as you need in the Style Editor by adding a name in the Name field. For example “p.maintext”

thanks…

now i have a problem of any of my text link styles are not being published in the HTML. they show in the preview, but when i publish they don’t show up there, so all my links are default blue underlined.

any ideas?

Same as with the p tags you need to set up styles for the links. There is also a new option if FW5 Pro in the Inspector pallet for setting link styles that does Not create a temporary style. I prefer to set up the styles in the editor myself so that I know they will work correctly.

Did you set up new styles for the links?

i hadn’t tried it like that yet… i was just using the Text Style Link action… those are the ones not getting published into the code.

Not sure that action still works correctly in FW5. Try removing the use of that action, then use the link styles option under the graphics button in the Inspector pallet instead.
