I’ve just accidentally done something to Intaglio.
The text tool is not behaving, or rather the text tool palette/other line palette? not behaving.
I have already saved, exit the program and returned with no change.
First the text was displaying itself as white and resisting my attempts to make it black, or rather the fill insisted on being selected.
If I changed tools then selected the text tool again i get …
I’m not exactly sure what the cause of this is but there’s one thing to be aware of. The default document fill/stroke properties are distinct for text. For example, when you change the fill color with nothing selected you change the default fill color for new elements. However this doesn’t normally effect text fill. To change the default text properties you change the property with the text tool selected but not current text being edited.

thanks for replying. I’ve not had chance to play more with this thing but should be able tomorrow.
I’m hoping the settings will reset themselves somehow.
