Does anyone know if you can add a “browse” button so that users can upload a picture from their computer that will be emailed to you.
I’m creating a table (vendor application form) and need to have vendors send samples of their work for review.

You can create the form element very easily in Freeway, but you have to have a form handler on your server that is ready to “catch” the file when it’s sent. What are you using to do that part?

Alter your form so it sends the correct format:

  1. Page / Form Setup, click the Extended button.
  2. Click on New, and add Name: ‘enctype’, Value: ‘multipart/form-data’ (both without the quotes).

To create a file upload field, either download Tim’s helpful Action from FreewayActions.com, or just draw a regular text field on the page, then use Item / Extended to add: Name: ‘type’, Value: ‘file’ to it. In the design view, it will still look like a file field, but when you preview it or look at it in a browser, you will see the little Browse button.

Great! All made sense to me except for:

“form handler on your server that is ready to “catch” the file when it’s sent. What are you using to do that part?”

Not sure what info you are asking for there.

Unless you have an application or script running on your server to receive the form POST, you won’t get anything for your trouble. PHP Feedback Form cannot process file uploads, but FormsToGo can create a file upload handler. If your hosting provider forces you to use some particular script, then that’s another way you might go. Regardless, you will have to investigate that script’s documentation and see what the file field needs to be named (it’s often specific to the handler).

I am using GoDaddy and they have a file upload ability. I researched it through your suggestion and followed their directions.
Thank you so much for your help.
