This topic needs a title

I’ve created a website using Freeway Pro on a mac. The site looks correct when viewing online with a mac. But on a PC with Internet Explorer, the videos don’t play and the pages are much smaller than on the mac.

Do I need to hire a freelancer to make everything look the same on the pc as it does on my mac or is Freeway Pro suppose to be able to handle these things for mac and pc and make them both come out looking the same?

thanks,
bob

If you can post a link to your site online we can have a look and see where you are going wrong.

Hi David,

Thanks for the offer to take a look.

designsongolf.com

I don’t know why, but when I type in my website
the page that comes up is “Custom Prints” and
not the Home Page.

When you get to the site, could you first click on
the Home menu button.

If you wouldn’t mind running thru each page
and see if things are loading (the first five menu
buttons are supposed to play a video) I would
greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Bob

Your home page has the file name of homepage.html and so is not loaded by default.

Your home page should be called index.html - the name used by your custom prints page.

If you first rename custom prints to custom-prints.html and then change your home page to index.html you will be sorted. You can only have 1 index.html page.

I will look at your other issues later.

You have not actually added your background image correctly. What you have done is created an image layer that is behind all the other layers on your page.

The correct way to add a bg image is to look in the page inspector (with nothing selected on the page) and under the paintbrush tab you have the options to add you (true) bg image. This should be in a web ready format jpeg, gif, png etc.

Set if you want this image to repeat - in your case I would use Horizontal: center and Vertical: Top and use an image that was wider than your page (960px?). I would use an image that was at least 1280px

To complete the effect set your page alignment to center.

There are some actions to help with Background images such as Full Background Image, Full Background Proportional and Background Supersizer and you can find them (and examples) at actionsforge.com

Hi Dave,

Is there any chance you could view this site also on a pc?
When I first uploaded my site, when I went to look at it on a pc, the pages where half the size and the videos didn’t play.

Now, a week later, I’ve gone back to check my site on a pc again, and it now looks exactly like my mac and the videos all play. I have no idea why.
