This topic needs a title

good morning,

i have been reading the posts about ie and forms.

i have been working on a flash carousel w highslide and i was told that it is not looking and working right in ie.

i dont have a version of ie to test it. please help

In IE the carousel remains spinning in front of (and therefore
obcsuring part of) the selected image. Other than dropping the
position of image I haven’t a clue what you do!

Hi Julie It will be probably be down to your Flash, so try this….

  1. Select the Flash item which in your case is the carousel Item and go to the top menu: *Menu>Item>Extended

  2. Then in the dialog that appears, click New

  3. then, in the next dialog that appears type wmode in the Name field

  4. and transparent in the Value field.

  5. then finally OK everything

You could also use opaque in that Value field too if you wanted but, transparent should be fine.
What should happen is once you have republished you should now see that the carousel drops behind the image, as long as the image is in-front of the carousel within your freeway artwork so make sure that is the way you have layered it.
