Thomas, my thanks for your reply.
It would appear Bannerzest is out putting either corrupt or incomplete files. This installation is three months old, and I’ve downloaded a trial copy onto another Mac, G5 Power, and it too is out putting incomplete files.
I mailed some images to my stepson who is a software and web developer by profession, and he compiled an swf file on his software, uploaded to the server and it displays fine.
I think a letter to Bannerzest is needed.

Check if BannerZest offers the option to create all-in-one Flash files
or if it also offers an option to create nested files (one Flash movie
calls another movie or XML file or folder of images). It may be that
the outer movie is looking for one or more component parts, and not
finding them on your server where it expects them to be.
