tiny mce

I am trying to use webyep rich text item. I am using the start loop, webyep rich text item, and end loop, but all I see in chrome or firefox are icons, none of which are the text edit items. I see a plus sign, a trash can, an up and down arrow and a document with a check mark on it. Where is the text edit icon?

I have another field with no start loop but the webyep rich text item and end loop, that does return the text edit icon, yet when I click on it and get the tiny mce popup window there are no text format (bold, italic, etc) icons on it, only the bare popup window.

what am I doing wrong here? everything is up to date.

thanks,
Chris

Is tinymce in your opt folder?

Thanks for your help. Yes, is in the opt folder that resides in a folder named webyep system that sits in the same MAMP local server folder that I use for this and several other site folders (please see below.)

localserver/webyep-system/program/opt/tinymce
localserver/webyep-trial-website
localserver/other-sites

Can you publish your site to a real web host to see if it works there? I have not set up MAMP locally so I can’t help with that but maybe you have something amiss in that setup.

I will give it a shot, but I am following along with Dan Jasker’s screencast who also has his running locally.

Hi Chris
WebYep/tinymce and MAMP will all work correctly locally.
From what you are describing it sounds like either the Tiny editor is either incomplete or corrupted or the extra file to add third part plugins is not written correctly (thats if you have added one)
the path you have for your files structure does look a bit odd because it would normally be inside the
MAMP application

htdocs/webyep-system/program/opt/tinymce

speak soon max
