Title Naming & The Site Panel

I hope there is a guru out there who can shed some light on a way to give pages specific titles for SEO purposes and be able to name the pages in the site panel relevant names such as “Home”. If I rename the page for SEO it makes my freeway working environment a little messy as I usually uses about 10 words with pipe characters and such. Can someone help.

Thanks, Team SDA

Going through this now.

Wait until you are ready to go live or it can be a bear.

Also, have a secondary version with the simple names and keep them up a the same time to reference which page is which.

Good luck.

Thank You Craig,

I was aware of Tim’s Action but was not sure it would solve my issue. So just to confirm it will allow me to name the pages in Freeway with relevant names for working and give them the long SEO title specific names for actual output?

Thanks again,
Team SDA

The latest update of Freeway 5.4 Pro allows 127 chars in the file name.

Exactly. The new page title can be completely different from the title
you’ve already defined using the inspector palette or it can be an
extension of it. If you wanted to add a specific prefix or suffix to
the existing page title then the action also allows you to do that as
well by adding a token ([t]) to the New title field. I initially wrote
the action because I had site after site that contained long titles
and finding pages in the site pane was a complete pain.
Regards,
Tim.
