For some reason I can’t seem to vertical align to the top in 3.4.4
It seems a bit random - sometimes it works, other time nothing I do will make it happen. It’ll centre, it’ll align to the bottom, all the horizontal alignments work, but it will not align top. It’s driving me insane.
I am on 10.6.8 MacOS (don’t judge me!) and it worked in the last version of Intaglio
That´s a quite a vague description. Are you using the Align-tool or is it manually done? Do you have Smart-guides activated then?
Still works here as expected.
(3.4.4 on SL here)
Sorry it seemed vague. I’ll try to be very specific.
I have series of numbers in columns
I am using the Geometry Window to try to align them by the top edge
I have Vertical, Align, and Top ticked
when I click APPLY they don’t move. If I switch and tick BOTTOM rather than TOP they DO align perfectly. Ditto when I tick centre.
I did have Smart Guides active, but that has never mattered before - I did go in and turn them off to see if it made a difference and it doesn’t. I’m guessing you thought I was manually nudging them to get them to align, in which case maybe SNAP TO or guides might matter. I wish it had been that easy.
I tried quitting and re-opening Intaglio (which does often fix odd problems I’ve had before, like it refusing to switch a font) and even rebooted but no joy. It still refuses to align to the top only. If ALL of the options didn’t work I could maybe understand.
You find something. Good spot - seems a bug to me.
As a workaround you can flip the elements vertically first - align to bottom and flip back again.
(Smart-guides are just for manually work.)
