Twitter Follow button positioning issue on iPhone

Hi folks,

I’ve just added a Twitter Follow button to a home page; it shows up fine in web browsers on my laptop & desk top pcs, but on my iPhone is positioned way to the right of where it shd be and looks odd. I’m using Freeway Pro 6.05. Does anyone know why this is? Or how to fix it? Thanks for any advice.

Gerry

Hi Gerry,

The quick fix would be to move the social icons left to allow for the different view on a mobile. Or paste them inline into the div (html box) above.

Many thanks for responding Dave. When I try that, I get an error/overflow text message, and I have a problem positioning the icons where I want them. Also, in the current set up, I’ve checked how the page appears across a dozen different browser/operating system platforms, and there aren’t any positioning problems with anything but the the iPhone. Which is kind of annoying! If I range it left it’ll look odd design-wise on the dozen others.

Dear David,

Many thanks for responding. I’ve just tried this, but I get an error/overflowed text message, and I have problems positioning the Facebook & Twitter buttons where I want them. I’ve tested their positioning across a dozen browser/Operating System platforms, and it’s only the iPhone that has that display problem, so if I position the icons left to compensate it’ll mess up the design on those other browsers. Hmm! Not sure what to do, or why this shd be. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Dear David,

apologies: I see I called you ‘Dave’. I know so many Daves that sometimes I get mixed up.
