unstyled HTML text when first viewing site online

Hi,

When I first open my site online in Firefox (after uploading), I see that some items on the home page aren’t viewing correctly—neither the HTML text paragraph nor the .gif menu bar items (ie, HOME, BIO, CONTACT, etc) view correctly.

Ex: instead of seeing the entire paragraph of HTML text, I only see the first line of that paragraph. And instead of seeing the images I’ve uploaded for each menu bar word (ie, HOME, BIO, CONTACT, etc), I see the name of the file for that menu bar word instead (ie, “home_magenta.gif” instead of “HOME” styled as it is in the gif file).

Once I click on the menu items (which link to another internal page), then return to the home page, they view correctly. However, the text paragraph still only shows the first line instead of the entire paragraph even when I go to other pages then back to the Home page again.

Hi Andrea

It would appear that some of your image files are missing - how did you upload your site?

It is highly unusual for FW to not get this right as missing resources are flagged and replacements generated from previews.

Have you manually done anything to any of the files in your Resources folder - or possibly referred to them from within the FW document.
