Upgrade to Pro

I am thinking of upgrading to Pro version from Express. I tried my site on a friend’s Pro version, but when I was editing the site I found that it took a long time for typing to appear after actually inputting from the keyboard. His Macintosh is comparable to mine. Is there something that needs to be done to the Express version before it is opened in Pro?

No - were all the files that belonged to your site on his HD - not just linked via a Network.

… probably to keep a (backed-up) express-version of your project instead of natively open and hit save? Hmm - I’m probably too apprehensive.

That’s an excellent guess. Whenever Freeway opens a document, it goes hunting for all of the files that were associated with it. If those were all over your Mac, and your friend’s Mac was trying to open your Mac as a server to access the files, that could take quite a while per image to time out and decide that the original was missing. If you went back to your Mac, used the File / Save Archive command to package all of the associated files into one place, then took that to your friend’s Mac, then you would find that Pro would have no trouble opening it in a reasonable amount of time.
