upgrade

May I just say… I have been using the beta versions of v5 and whilst there have been a few bugs (expected as it’s a beta) it’s been pretty stable overall. Plus, there were a few doubters about whether the upgrade was a serious upgrade and not just a few minor ‘updates’, I have found it a welcome upgrade. There are some nice features added to make designing websites easier and just under the hood of the application there are a host of ‘tweeks’ that are great and will make everything easier (not everything is as it seems).

Secondly, come on… the price. Who can complain about the Softpress service. A great forum (Yes, that’s you). and upgrading for $69. No other PROFESSIONAL software competes with that. So don’t be fooled. Just because this is ‘easy to use’ software, it doesn’t mean more difficult software is better. For example, we use a third party for hand coding back-end sites and when he saw the new site I was working on (with v5) and the simplicity of building it (aside from the overall design) even he was impressed and he is a Windows/Dreamweaver established user. Plus he had never heard of Freeway - something to work on?

Constantly impressed and looking forward…

That price list is something new… I was thinking I’d have to pay well over $100 for an upgrade from Pro4. But I can lock in the final upgrade at a price of $69 today up through March 27? GEEZ - what a deal!!! Thanks for bringing it up… I think I may have missed the boat otherwise.

I have Dreamweaver on my system (came with the CS3 bundle) but I wont dare touch it… FW Pro has my attention.
