Upload problem

Hi, I’ve just finished a make-over for an old website using freeway and the client is happy and give me the okay to upload the site. The problem is the details he’s giving me are not working and he says the information is correct. When I upload the new site - the old one appears! Help They use Livedns to host with I think. This is a cheap job in order to get his other work so I don’t want to hassle the client to much. These are the details off the client, am I missing something?
address: ftp.greenheymarine.co.uk

user: greenheymarine.co.uk

pwd: gh6784

Folder for website is HTDOCS and the homepage default is index.html

Regards
Jason

The site folder is full of crap. You should have moved all original files into an folder called ‘_old_site’ (or whatever), and than upload your site to the cleaned up site folder.

At this point the index.htm page is the default page. When you change that name to something like _index.htm, the server will automatically pick up the index.html (your page) as the default and open normally.

But okay … I’ve done it for you … how about this : http://www.greenheymarine.co.uk

NOW CHANGE THE LOGIN DETAILS A.S.A.P.

You’re very welcome Jay

I’ve relocated the original/old files to a subfolder called ‘_old_site’, leaving your files in the site root folder.

So, the old site can be found here: New Page 1 while the new site is sitting comfortably at http://www.greenheymarine.co.uk

Best regards, Richard
