We have just switched ISP services and I’m having trouble uploading the site to the new servers through FW. I can do it using Transmit (I’m on a Mac), but it hangs in FW and eventually says “FTP not responding”.
I’ve tried with Passive Mode on and off.
Any ideas?

In the upload dialog box in each section (server, directory, user name, password,) try doing a apple +a (for select all) and then delete and re-enter your new info.

Well, after playing with this for a while, it doesn’t seem I can do it with Transmit, either.
Basically, I can’t upload to the new host from MY house, but my colleague can from HER house. Very strange.
The service is HostGator. Don’t know if anyone here has used them. http://www.hostgator.com/

Maybe you’ll have to call them or just go through and double check everything. Maybe there’s something goofy on your end like a firewall or something.
