Upload two websites to same domain

I am a graphic designer. My website is created in Freeway: www.advocate.uk.com

I am creating a website for a client. They want to see the website on the internet, but obviously don’t want the initial designs to be uploaded to their domain.

Can I upload the clients website to my domain for them to see? ie. is it possible to upload two Freeway websites to the same address.

I presume I would have to give the files different names to my website files (otherwise they would get over-written) ie. UK.COM

Thanks

Absolutely - BUT don’t try to load both sites to the same place on
the server or things from the first upload would be replaced by
same-name items form the second upload. Upload one of them into a
separate folder - you’ll be absolutely fine doing that.

Upload one of them into a separate folder

Urm… how do I make a separate folder?

Presumably my Prefereneces for both sites will remain separate?

Thanks for the help

You can do this with a third-party FTP tool such as the excellent
Transmit (Transmit 5)…

OR you can simply make a new folder in the Site panel of one Freeway
document, upload that document to have the new folder made on the
server.

Either way, once the folder is there just set the other document’s
upload path details to point into the new folder.

Yep. But don’t think of them as ‘preferences’; those are really
application-level things. The settings for a site document are sotred
within the document itself.

Make a new folder on your server using an FTP application, call it
‘clientname’ or whatever, then set that new folder as part of the
upload path in Freeway. So, if your path is currently public_html,
make it public_html/clientname. Whatever your server path is, put a
slash, then the new folder name after it.
