Uploaded files are 0KB

On one page of a website I do (http://www.christchurchwoodbury.org.uk/2.5resources.html) I am having real problems.

Just recently I noticed that on upload some mp3s in the mootools accordion (April-June 2009 part) were uploading everytime although they had not been changed and did not download from a browser - Firefox, Safari, Explorer.

On looking at the files (via Transmit) on the server I noticed that they were 0KB whereas the original files were 5 or 7MB. The files affected are from May 10 and also include a PDF. Also from today the headings and the into blurb at the side have disappeared (only the alt text appearing) and their values are also now 0KB.

When previewing in a browser all headings etc appears as required and all the mp3s play and the PDF views OK. The mp3s and the PDF all open/play in other programs.

I’m not a great at understanding the code - but I cannot see any difference in the code for the mp3s which appear and download and those which don’t!

I have tried toggling between passive FTP and not in the upload box (the site will not upload at all without passive FTP checked - it gives the error: Cannot read directory because of an FTP error. [425 Could not open data connection to port 63995: connection refused]

Why are some of the files on this page uploading and then appearing as 0KB on the server? Also just to confuse me the mp3 on May 17 although it plays OK live in the browser it uploads every time when nothing has changed!

Help!

I am using Freeway 5.3.2 on a G5 Mac running Tiger 10.4.11.

One possible thing to investigate: have you reached the limit of the
storage space for your web hosting account?

Thank you - you were correct.

After much ado the web hosters finally agreed that they had not upgraded my web space to their new allocation and that I had reached the limit on the old storage space limit. This web hoster cannot tell you how much space you have left in your package whereas others I use do - surely a basic requirement

Definitely, yes, at least for any host that imposes space limits!

I won’t even bother asking what outfit you’re using right now… I’ll
just recommend that you change.

I would have thought so, for example our ineedwebhosting control
panels shows how much web space is taken, and also how much is being
downloaded with bandwidth graphs and usage etc.
