Uploading - help

I’m trying to upload a new site via 4Pro 4.4.2 - but keep getting the same error message:
Cannot delet file because of an ftp error.[553_clear.gif.permission denied.(Delete)]
The upload is to aol members ftp space. I do not have this problem with sites made up in my old 3.5 pro.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to get this to work? I’m working on a Mac G5 - OS 10.4.11.
Thanks!

My personal method would be to connect to the site with Transmit and see what is there and delete the file causing the problem, then retry with Freeway giving it a clear run at the web space

  • But be careful not to delete any folders that the isp has put there - cgi folders etc.

if you don’t have or don’t want to buy Transmit you could find Cyberduck via MacUpdate or Versiontracker and use that ( cos it’s free )

just a thought

Use transmit or Cyberduck to FTP into and view the files on your server, and find the file _clear.gif and see if it will delete manually.

or try

Delete all this files in your site folder (in your local Mac disc), and re-publish the site and upload again.
