Using graphic text as a hyperlink

Why is it that when you use a graphic containing text with just two words, when uploaded or viewed with Safari, only the first of the two words triggers the hyperlink but not the second?

Check you don’t have another layer overlapping, and on top of, the
graphic. This can (in layman’s terms) confuse the browser, by
obscuring the link beneath.
