I followed the instructions on the page linked below to create versions of a movie optimized for different platforms.
Then I used Freeway to create the web page, and placed the reference movie on the page. I set all the QT settings as I desired in the inspector. When I uploaded the site with Freeway to the server, the movie didn’t work. This was because only the reference movie was uploaded by Freeway. The three actual movie files were not uploaded. By uploading the three files to the Resources folder manually, I got everything to work as expected, including on my iPod touch over AirPort.
My question is, am I doing this the best way in Freeway? The only way I can see to make Freeway upload the other files is to use the Upload Stuff action. But I wonder if I should be going about this whole process another way. I don’t know if the whole reference movie and different versions method is the best way, or if there is a way to have one movie that works well enough on all platforms (desktops vs. iPhone). Does anyone have any experience with this?
