VMware Fusion

How can I stop Windoze updates (Win7) from updating my IE8 to IE10

Alternatively can I run both?

Unfortunately, I use Parallels and I am absolutely horrible with Windows. However, I think Walter uses Fusion so he may be able to help you.

You can make a snapshot of your Windows and roll back to that at any time. I don’t know how to disable the IE10 update all by itself, though. There is a collection of browsers that Microsoft makes available as VM images specifically for testing. They are free downloads, but I don’t have a link handy. I use IE 8 in XP (purchased retail years ago) to check the really awful truth.

Thanks guys

I forgot about the snapshot thingy - just rolled back using Time Machine but that will be easier.

While it is quite good that MS is instigating IE updates its a pain for it to happen without warning.

I will look into the additional browsers - thanks for that link Caleb.
