Way to serve ads

Hi.

I am looking for an action or plugin or service that would allow me to serve ads in a box on the front page of my site. … I want to be able to rotate several ads on a schedule, which I could vary. … Is there a way to do this with Freeway?

Thanks in advance.

The Random Image action can do this. I believe it ships with freeway.

I can’t be random and besides I don’t think that action exists in Freeway 4, although I could be mistaken. (I couldn’t find it.)

If you’re serious and really want to go to town and serve ads on your site, and have full reporting etc, try looking at http://www.openx.org

We’ve just added this script to our clients hosting control panel scripts, if anyone wants to a have a play.

I don’t find it in 5, either.

As for the randomness, I have long been using a random text script to
insert ads, but just recently found one that actually ROTATES the banners:

SFEBanner from Free Perl/CGI Scripts from Scripts for Educators

Also look at downloading this script at http://awsd.com/scripts/webadverts/

Again this is a script available in the hosting control panel with us.
