A client has made the following request on a micro-site they are doing themselves, please see their request.
Anyone have any ideas if there is a way of doing this and supplying them a file or code they can use on their website.
“We are looking at adding this map on a micro website and working on with the idea of being able to hover the mouse over certain areas of the map, which will then activate a pop up box with additional information.”
This is trivially easy in Freeway with the built-in Actions Rollover and Target Show/Hide Layer. If they are doing this by hand, then I would start by making either a map area or a positioned link over the image in the various hotspots, add a Title tag to these (the lowest common denominator of how you would do this) and then layer over that a JavaScript tooltip function that turns the title tag into a decorative thing. There are tons of these, both for Prototype or jQuery.

You could do it on a blank page in Freeway, but the instructions would be fairly complex: paste this script bit inside the , then paste this other part in the , then paste these 20 style tags into your stylesheet, then change these offsets so that the map shows up in the right part of the page…
If they’re not using Freeway, then yes, the HTML is fairly portable, but it would be more than a copy/paste job if they didn’t know HTML + CSS + JS pretty well.

Hi Waltd
Would it be possible to do the graphics for them, then give them the code to paste into their site?
