Although I’m an infrequent user of Freeway, the sites I have created get a good feedback from customers, and one of them has asked me to create a site to showcase their photography.
Normally I think creating something akin to these would be within my capabilities. However the customer wants to be able to edit the site themselves, specifically adding new photos. Essentially a CMS system?
Is WebYep capable of helping with this? It’s recommended on this forum, but having looked at the WebYep demo and so forth I’m not sure…
Any ideas or suggestions from the Freeway collective?

Are you using the wepyep function on the photos beneath the youtube section? Plus, what action are you using to display them? Is that lightbox or something?
I am using the webyep on those Pictures and on the accordion
I also have 3 -4 boxes that are invisible that the client can upload new photos to
IT is a lightbox- but there is one that works w webyep that you would need to download
if you click on the lock on the bottom:
username: nradon
password: nicole
you can see where all the pictures etc are.

David - those are very rudimentary gallery constructions. Depending on what’s used, it might be possible to give the customer a Cyberduck setup linked into just the images directory, where they can drag drop rearrange at will without messing with the rest of the site.
The problem with this I think might be that the next time you update the site, their changes will be lost (unless they send the files to you as well). There is no way to download a site and get it back into Freeway, or compare/synchronize (as far as I know).
They are very basic gallery constructions… you are right - I just was showing it to give him an idea

Rudimentary? Or clean, uncluttered designs which show off the photos without fuss?
I also think web yeps gallery+lightbox could be employed in a more sophisticated manner than the example given above which is very basic as you say.
But - could they be built using Jalbum then uploaded into an iframe?Design the album and upload to the server. Then give the Jalbum album and settings to the client. They add fresh images and the new album is uploaded direct from the jalbum site to the folder which is viewed on the site in the iframe. Any other upgrades should not be affected. No?
An iFrame is a great thought to isolate the rest of the site design making it available for Freeway updates without interference!
This way, JAlbum or any other gallery builder could be used. SimpleViewer also comes to mind…InstantGallery, iGallery etc. though many of these others might not have FTP built in.
Simple Viewer - and many other gallery builders - are available as skins in Jalbum. Jalbums initial download does not have it built in but it is available on the skins page for adding in. And simple viewer has a wealth of settings - most of which can be switched off leaving a minimalist look. And it is free.
