WebYep CMS Fading Slideshow

A while back I needed to create a content manageable simple fading slideshow. After tinkering with WepYep and other actions I came up with a solution. If anyone needs a similar solution I have created a step by step tutorial which can be accessed at the link below:

This is a cool idea!
But unfortunately this doesn’t work on my site.
I followed your tutorial, but the result looks different.
The slideshow does not work at all.
Could this fail because of page settings?
My page is set to xhtml transitional …

Hi Joerg,
I don’t think the page settings make any difference and mine is set to xhtml transitional anyway. What exactly are you getting when you say the results looks different?

If it’s of any help to you I could send you my example Freeway files so you could could have a good look at them. It is also important that your server has GD enabled which alows for graphic resizing.

Hi Pixelart!
I got e’thing set up, but the slideshowpage stays empty. Yes, I see the trigger working - from photo 1 to 2 to 3 etc, but the frame is empty. I am testing it on MAMP. Does that have GD? Is it related to that? I wonder…

Because it was temporarily hosted on Pixelarts server - nothing to do with FW - and since then he has taken it down.

Contact him direct to via his site to ask if the files are still available.

Hi Richard - does this tutorial still exist? I am looking for a way to create a CMS slideshow and this looks like it could be a way forward.

Best wishes R
