WEBYEP - HELP

Fatal error: Call to undefined function webyep_logonButton() in /home/stefan/public_html/Events/diary-dates.php on line 352

I am getting this on any webyep item on the pages they are on

I tried reinstalling the webyep system

Latest versions of Freeway 5 Pro – Webyep and TinyMCE

all was working then I changed page width on all site pages and moved items or resized to fit the wider page.

Uploaded and am now getting “undefined function error” as above on short text, rich text and logon button

I mailed Max
BUt is anyone in a position to advise?

OK – its sorted!

I had reapplied Master page to bring all pages to the new width and forgot about the page init code.

Phew!

As a guide it is always advisable if something like this happens to make a back up of the data folder inside the webyep system folder as this contains all your webyep data you should be able to do this using a a normal FTP application and just download it to your hard-drive.
In these sort of circumstances I would normally download the whole site to my Mac and run the site locally via MAMP and try to find out what the problem may be, rather than experiment on the main site.

Yes there were no worries about the data - just the client’s live site.
I didn’t realize when I reapplied a Master page that it wiped the webyep
init code - and panicked a bit before I caught up with myself.

Is it too lazy of me to ask if there is a step by step for MAMP available
anywhere?

Hi Max
The issue was resolved immediately after I cried help and I said so to
prevent anyone taking effort to respond - but also to alert to the mistake I
made.
Its all sorted though I have found the rich text very very flaky so if its
at all helpful please send it to brianatclearlight.uk.net

has anyone else any benefit of experience of using the rich text items?

The table is impossible to use with Tiny MCE and Windows IE.

if you plan to use the TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor within the WebYeb Richtext item then edit it using firefox and NOT Safari. Even the latest TinyMCE is flakey with Safari.
If I plan to create a table within a tinyMCE I tend to make sure I have set up the css styles before hand. Actually I don’t like using any of the WYSIWYG editors and try not to use them unless I absolutely need to. I prefer the longtext box table system.

Though at times flaky with me on a Mac TinyMCE behaves worse with my client
on PC. I will ask him to try Firefox to see if it improves but I haven’t
found the table item fit for purpose and it doesn’t help that my client is
digitally challenged.
He can work round it without tabulating his event program.

Its tricky to know which way to go - but he likes to be able to colour and
size text at his whim so its probably still best to provide the rich text.

As for Safari - its weird how Apple allow something to be so unable to cope
with so many things. It reflects badly on them to provide a browser that
often fails where Camino or Firefox work.
And for TinyMCE - I wasn’t surprised it was flaky on a Mac but am that it is
flaky on IE PC.

‘longtext box table system’
This sounds interesting. I’ll have to try and read up and get into this
thing somehow!

The longtext box can be used to create tables as per this example:

http://www.max-izzat.co.uk/extended_features/table2/list.php

and this slightly more complicated example

http://www.max-izzat.co.uk/extended_features/table3/index.php

as you can see from the screen shot below the second example all the items are produced from 1 longtext item including the table.

You can find a some instructions on what the richtext item can produce in the manual. Page 28, 29, and page 30
If you need a freeway document example let me know and I will send the artwork over to you
